Lost work because you caught COVID-19 or are a close contact? You may be eligible for the Pandemic Leave Disaster Payment
With nearly 600,000 active COVID-19 cases across Australia, the federal government has again adjusted how people who are forced out of work to isolate can access hardship payments.
As of today, rapid antigen tests can now be used as proof that you've been infected with the virus, and therefore eligible for the Pandemic Leave Disaster Payment.
Formerly, a laboratory PCR test was required as proof.
